明嘉靖《嘉兴府图记》卷4《祠庙》：嘉兴县：“高丰庙，在县东一十八里雀墓村，唐朱自勉主嘉禾屯田，有白雀集于高丰……。”1982年嘉兴市地名普查领导小组办公室所编《浙江省嘉兴市地名志》（内部发行）所附《雀墓大队》条释曰：元至元《嘉禾志》中已有雀墓村的记载。当即此。
