清乾隆《震泽县志》卷4《镇市村》：“双杨市在十一都，去县治西南五十里。明初居民止数十家，以村名。嘉靖间始称为市，民至三百余家，自成市井，今大略相同。”据光绪《江苏全省舆图》及《震泽县志》附图，双杨在斜路与震泽镇之间，偏向震泽镇的运河边。据此定点于运河上的仁安港。
