嘉庆《清一统志》卷78《苏州府二·关隘》：“福山镇，在常熟县北四十里。……本朝初设参将，今改游击镇守，分辖鹿苑、支塘、徐六泾等处。”清宋如林修、石韫玉纂：道光《苏州府志》卷28《乡都》常熟市镇村，有鹿苑镇。今从道光《志》作镇，在江苏沙洲县鹿苑。
