明万历《严州府志》卷4《乡都》：“淳安县，自一都至四都为梓桐乡，里十：普慈里……”梓桐乡在县西。清宗源瀚等纂、民国徐则恂等修订：《浙江全省舆图并水陆道里记》（杭州，武林印书馆，1915年）淳安县图，县西北有普慈村，当是。今浙江淳安县西北新安江水库中。
