嘉庆《清一统志》卷75《江宁府三·津梁》：“程家桥，在六合县西二十里，水通滁河，县西诸山集镇，悉由此出。”
按清尹继善等修、黄之隽纂：乾隆《江南通志》卷25《关津》：“程家桥集，六合县西二十里，地通大河，亦繁盛。”清康熙、乾隆时已很繁荣。
据1978年《江苏省地图集》（内部发行），在今江苏六合县西北程桥。
