清尹继善等修、黄之隽纂：乾隆《江南通志》卷25《关津》溧水县：“杨塘市，县东四十五里，道出溧阳。”盖形成于清康熙时。
按光绪《溧水县志》卷2《村堡》：“白鹿乡在县治东”，有杨塘，则嘉庆时其地仍存，光绪时废为村。
据1978年《江苏省地图集》（内部发行），在今江苏溧水县东南杨塘村。
