清乾隆《杭州府志》卷5《市镇》：临安县，“五柳镇，去县东五里。”清宗源瀚等纂、民国徐则恂等修订：《浙江全省舆图并水陆道里记》（杭州，武林印书馆，1915年）之《临安县五里方图》有五柳村，在县治东北，即在今临安市东北，即此。
