西晋泰始元年（265年）复置，属雁门郡。仍治今朔州市朔城区夏关城。永嘉四年（310年）废。

注：
光绪《山西通志》卷二十八《府州厅县考六》?朔平府
朔州，“后汉建武二十七年，徙雁门郡治阴馆，领县十四，马邑仍属。建安中，郡县荒废。魏黄初元年复徙郡南逾句注陉，治广武，自陉以北并弃之。晋还以马邑、阴馆二县往属。永嘉四年，建兴元年，刘琨表封猗庐为代公，以地归之。”

按：阴馆县复置时间不确，今据光绪《山西通志》载，“晋还以马邑、阴馆二县往属”，故确定为晋建立之年为复置时间。另阴馆县不见载于《晋书》，概因永嘉四年（310年），刘琨表封猗庐为代公，并以马邑、阴馆、繁畤、楼烦、崞五县归之后即废，故确定是年为阴馆县废省之年。",
