唐贞观元年（627年），槀城县来属，⑴辖境扩大。贞观十七年（643年），井陉、灵寿、鹿泉三县来属，⑵辖境扩大。

⑴按：《旧唐书》卷39《地理二》（北京，中华书局，1975年，第5册，第1502页）镇州沿革下作武德四年来属，槀城县下作贞观元年。《新唐书》卷39《地理三》（北京，中华书局，第1015页）亦作贞观元年来属。当以贞观元年为正。《元和郡肥志》（第478页）作贞观二年改属恒州，疑为实际改动时间。
