    约秦庄襄王三十五年（前272年）置，属南阳郡，秦二世三年（前207年）属汉（1），新莽天凤元年（14年）属前队郡，更始元年（23年）仍属南阳郡（2）。东汉同（3）。西晋属南阳国（4）。北魏太和二十二年（498年）改名北山（5）。治今河南鲁山（6）。
