西魏废帝元年（552 ）置上县，属上郡。隋开皇三年（583），上县属绥州。①大业二年（606）改绥州为上州。②大业三年（607 ）改上州为雕阴郡。③治今绥德县城。④

注：
①《太平寰宇记》卷38?关西道十四：绥州?废龙泉县，本秦肤施县。二汉同。后魏废帝元年，于此置上县，取郡为名。隋开皇三年，上县属绥州。唐天宝元年，改为龙泉县，以陇水为名。
②《元和郡县志》卷4?关内道四：绥州?龙泉县，大业二年，改绥州为上州，又改为雕阴郡，上县咸属焉。（中华书局，1983 年，103 页）
