北宋熙宁十年（1077年）复置。⑴治所即今河北枣强县驻地枣强镇东前、后旧县村一带。金天会四年（1126年）迁治。⑵

⑵嘉庆《清一统志》卷49《冀州直隶州一》：“枣强故城在今枣强县东南。……《寰宇记》：枣强故城在今县西南十五里，齐天保七年自故城移于今县东北十八里广川城，隋开皇二年又移于今理。旧《志》：金天会四年，河溢城圯，十年迁于县西北三十里刘马村，即今治。”（第16册，第9页）
