隋开皇九年（589年）平陈改石封县为绥安县。属宣州。①治所即今安徽广德县治。②大业三年（607年）改属宣城郡。③唐武德三年（620年）于县置桃州。七年（624年）州废，县属宣州。天宝元年（742年）改属宣城郡。至德二年（757年）更名广德县。④
