唐武德三年（620年）复置安吴县。①治所即今安徽泾县西南安吴。②武德八年（625年）省入泾县。③
①《新唐书》卷41《地理志五》：宣州“泾，武德三年以县置南徐州，寻更名2名州，并置南阳、安吴二县。八年州废，省南阳、安吴，以泾县来属。”
②《清嘉庆一统志》第39册，卷116《宁国府二?古迹》：“安吴故城在泾县西南。三国吴置。……隋县废。唐武德三年复置。属猷州。八年复废。旧志：故城在县西南五十里兰山南。今有安吴市及安吴渡。又旌德县北三十五里有古城，俗呼沙城，即古安吴城。或曰唐初所改置也。”今泾县西南有安吴镇，当是。
