唐武德五年（622年）复置宜丰县，属靖州，七年（624年）属米州，旋属筠州，八年（625年）废县入高安县（1）。治今江西宜丰县北天宝（2）。

（2）《太平寰宇记》卷106《江南西道四》：筠州高安县“丰城县，在州西一百五十里天宝乡，其县吴大帝自上蔡县分置。唐武德五年属靖州，八年废州及县。”（金陵书局，清光绪八年刊本，22页。）《清嘉庆一统志》卷325《瑞州府·古迹》：宜丰故城，在新昌县北，“县志，宜丰故城，在今县北三十里。按《寰宇记》有废丰城县，在筠州西百五十里天宝乡，当即宜丰之讹。”1914年改新昌为宜丰，今宜丰县北有天宝，（上海，中华地图学社，1990年，《江西省地图册》。）里数与史载相当。",
