2，《嘉庆一统志》卷429·漳州府·古迹：“怀恩废县，在漳浦县南。…《明统志》：在漳浦县西南二百里。应在今诏安县界。”（《四部丛刊续编》，商务印书馆，1934年，157册）。按：据《一统志》诏安县沿革，怀恩古县当在诏安县境。未刊稿《福建省治·自然地理志》附录·建置沿革及考证·漳州府怀恩县，引《诏安县地名录》，作怀恩废县在今福建诏安县治，从之。
