北宋大观二年（1108年）广南东路贺州来属置，（1）治桂州（今广西桂林市）。领有桂州……化州、高州、雷州、钦州、廉州、琼州、镇州、昌化军、万安军、朱崖军、贺州……等地。（2）。三年（1109年）改为广西黔南路。（3）

（1）王象之《舆地纪胜》卷103《广南西路?静江府》广南西路转运司：“汪应辰《题名记》云：‘国初合二广为岭南道。端拱元年（988年），诏监察御史高象先为广南西路转运使，广西分部始于此。”（北京，中华书局，1992年，4册，3156页）按：广南分为东、西路，当始于此。《宋史》卷90《地理志六?广南东路》贺州：“本属东路，大观二年（1108年）五月，割属西路。……南渡后属广西路。”（北京，中华书局，1977年，7册，2237页）王象之《舆地纪胜》卷123《广南西路?静江府》贺州：“初隶广南东路，后改隶广南西路。《广西郡邑志》在大观二年。又国史大观元年中书言：广东十五州军财赋丰足，内贺州南接梧州……诏贺州属广西。”（北京，中华书局，1992年，4册，3534页）按：故作大观二年。
