五代后梁开平二年（908年）改武贞军节度使置。治朗州（今湖南常德市）。（1）领有朗、澧、溆（叙）三州。（2）龙德二年（922年）改为武顺军节度使。（3）

（1）《旧五代史》卷17《张佶传》：“开平初，（马）殷表佶为朗州永顺军节度使。”（北京，中华书局，1976年，1册，236页）据朱玉龙《五代十国方镇年表》朗州，“开平初”作“开平二年（908年）”。（北京，中华书局，1997年，623页）按：因武贞军节度使本治澧州，领澧、朗、溆（叙）三州。姑作开平二年改为永顺军节度使，改治朗州（今湖南常德市）。
（2）《新唐书》卷67《方镇表四》光化元年（898年）：“置武贞军节度使，领澧、朗、溆（叙）三州。”（北京，中华书局，1975年，6册，1893页）按：现改名为永顺军节度使，当所领州不改。
（3）《新五代史》卷66《楚世家》：马殷“子希振武顺军节度使”。（北京，中华书局，1975年，3册，825页）据朱玉龙《五代十国方镇年表》朗州，龙德二年（922年）《注》（8）：“希振为武顺军节度使，史亦无具体年月。以贞明三年马存仍带永顺节度使衔，而同光元年改武顺曰武贞军考之，其改永顺为武顺并以希振为使，当在贞明四至龙德二（922年）之间。”（北京，中华书局，1997年，631页）按：故作龙德二年（922年）改为武顺军节度使。",
